As pet owners, we constantly seek safe and effective ways to support the health and well-being of our pets. What Is Diatomaceous Earth, Anyway?

DE is a naturally occurring substance made from the fossilized remains of tiny aquatic organisms called diatoms. It’s rich in silica and has microscopic sharp edges (don’t worry—they’re not sharp in a dangerous way to pets or people). When used correctly, high quality food-grade DE such as Zeally Herbs, is totally safe and can be a game-changer for pets. (Key note! The Benefits for our Pets

1. Natural Flea & Parasite Control

One of the most common uses of DE in pet care is for its ability to help manage fleas and other external parasites. When lightly dusted onto your pet’s coat and bedding (preferably outdoors or in a well-ventilated area), the fine particles can help dehydrate and eliminate pests such as fleas, ticks, and mites—without the use of chemical treatments. We sprinkle it on our dog’s coat (outside, to avoid inhaling the dust) and gently work it into the fur.

Additionally, when administered in small, carefully measured doses in food, Zeally Herbs Gut Sweep and Bind Powder (DE) may assist in reducing internal parasites such as roundworms and hookworms. It is indicated to work by mechanically disrupting the outer layer of these organisms in the digestive tract, leading to their eventual elimination. My vet was open to it in small doses, and since starting, I’ve noticed fewer issues with worms—and my pup’s stool has been consistently healthy. A Few Tips Before You Start

• Use a dust mask if you're applying it externally—it's a fine powder and not great to inhale.
