Cleanse Protocol
Zeally Herbs Parasite Cleanse formula may help to support eliminating parasites and assisting to balance Bacterial Overgrowth.
While parasite cleansing can be done at any time of the year, it is recommended to cleanse around the full moon as this is the period when parasitic eggs typically hatch. This period is also when parasites are most active, which allows them to
be most vulnerable to anti-parasitic herbs. To cleanse within a lunar window, begin the cleanse 5 days prior to the full moon, and continue on to complete 10 full days. We post upcoming cleanse dates to our socials @zeallyherbs.
Following these dates is encouraged but not necessary for a successful cleanse.
During the cleanse avoid processed and sugary foods, red meats, starches and alcohol as these foods feed parasitic activity. Try to include whole, unprocessed food with lots of greens. Increase your water and garlic consumption.
We suggest performing a cleanse once or twice per year.
Serving Suggestion
Fulvic Humic Tonic: 1-2ml into 250ml (80oz) of clean water. Use 1-3 times per day.
Parasite Capsules: Adults 2-6 Capsules per day. We suggest 2 capsules in the AM, Midday and PM. Use a glass of water with fulvic drops to consume the capsules.
Colon Formula Capsules: Adults 1+ Capsule per day. Take ad hoc or as needed for regular bowel movements.
Biotic Powder: (Post Cleanse Use only) Start with ½ teaspoon daily (3g) and slowly increase up to 1 heaped tablespoon daily (10g). Mix into smoothies or cereal or drink of choice.
Detox Tea: Steep a large spoon in boiling water. Strain and enjoy.

Common Types of Parasites
A Parasite is an organism that lives in or on another organism of another species. There are three main classes of parasites that can cause disease in humans: protozoa, helminths, and ectoparasites.
Protozoa and helminths largely affect the gut, while ectoparasites include lice and mites that can attach to or burrow into the skin, staying there for long periods of time.
Protozoa parasites are single-celled microorganisms that can infect humans, animals, and plants, causing various diseases. These parasites are characterised by their ability to move and feed by themselves as they multiply inside the human body.
The protozoa Giardia, is one example. It has a two-stage life cycle. In the first stage, the parasite swims around and consumes nutrients from the small bowel. In the second stage it develops into a non-moving cyst. Cysts that are then excreted in faeces can contaminate the water supply, and ingesting contaminated food or water results in transmission. Close human to human contact and unsanitary living conditions can promote transmission.
Symptoms of giardia can include severe or chronic diarrhoea, abdominal cramps, fatigue, weakness and weight loss.
Helminths (worms) are multicellular worms that can infect humans, animals, and plants, causing a range of diseases. They become visible once in their adult life cycle. Generally, helminths cannot multiply inside the human body and infections are often acquired through the ingestion of contaminated food or water
One major group of helminths are flatworms. Flatworms literally have flattened soft bodies. Tapeworms are one type of flatworm (another is Flukes). The most common human tapeworm in Australia is the dwarf tapeworm. The prevalence of dwarf tapeworm in isolated communities in parts of Australia is estimated to be around 55%.
Infestation in humans comes from ingesting dwarf tapeworm eggs. As with other parasites, the major risk factors are poor sanitation and shared living quarters. Symptoms include diarrhoea, abdominal pain, weight loss and weakness.
Another major group of Helminths are Nematodes, commonly known as roundworms. Nematodes are the most numerous multicellular animals on earth and can be found in almost every environment.
More than 50% of the world’s population are thought to be affected at one point during their life by at least one of six main classes of nematodes.
The eggs or larvae of these nematodes usually develop in soil before being transmitted to the human host. For this reason these nematodes are often called soil-transmitted helminths. A good example are hookworms which infest humans by penetrating the skin from contaminated soil. So wearing appropriate footwear is one way to prevent hookworm transmission.
The pinworm (aka Threadworm) has a different life cycle - Pinworm larvae develop in eggs on the skin near the anus or under the fingernails. Pinworm, is the most common helminth parasite in Australia. Itching around the anus is a major symptom. Pinworms are easily passed from one person to another and it’s common for entire families to be infested. Other symptoms may include restlessness, irritability, abdominal pain, and occasionally, nausea or vomiting. Some people with pinworm infections may not experience any symptoms at all.
